Coffee & Kettlebells
What is it?
Coffee & Kettlebells is a circuit based workout session run twice a week on a Monday 6-7 p.m and a Thursday 2-3 p.m at Ipplepen Methodist Church. It is a completely community focused workout group of which the main focus in creating a safe space to workout for ALL. No matter how fit you are or how unfit you think you are we can cater to you. The aim is that the sessions will help the overall mental wellbeing of the community through the power of movement and conversations, we try to always stay for a chat and a coffee afterwards to get to know our clients.
Coffee & Kettlebells started as an idea off the back of the NextStroke website. We found that pricing and general accessibility was a barrier to people for working out. We decided that we would stay affordable and every penny made would go towards supporting our clients with new equipment and supporting the mental well being movement with donations to local charities and plans in the future to run events, bootcamps and a wellness centre, all centred around a family and community approach.
I think the best way to summarise this is that we want to make a difference, we want to inspire people no matter what your background, gender or age and we want people to never feel alone. If we can help just one person through our sessions and brighten up someone's day then we are happy.
